About Young Professionals of Akron
History
YPA was founded in October 2002. Akron-area young professionals started this organization in response to survey results by Next Generation Consulting founder, Rebecca Ryan. When asked what factors were most important in choosing a place in which to live and work, YPA identified community involvement, inclusiveness and networking opportunities. More than a decade later, these factors are still what drives YPA’s mission and goals.
